How Much Does a Kajabi Website Designer Cost in 2026? (Real Numbers, No Dodging)
Nobody in my industry wants to answer this question on their website. Every "how much does a Kajabi designer cost" article you'll find says some version of "it depends, book a call to find out." That's not an answer. That's a dodge.
So here are real numbers: mine. I'm a Kajabi web designer, I've been a graphic designer for 25+ years, and I've been building online businesses since 2016. Fair warning before we start: the industry is genuinely all over the place on pricing. There is no set rate for Kajabi design, no standard everyone follows, and anyone who tells you there's one "correct" price is wrong. So I'm not going to pretend to speak for the whole market. This is what I charge (as of today), what I believe moves the price up or down, and, just as important, when you shouldn't hire a designer at all yet.
My Actual Kajabi Design Pricing
Let's just put it on the table. My pricing is in USD, and if you're Canadian like me, don't worry, you'll be billed in Canadian dollars at conversion.
Full website design: starts around $8,000 USD. This is the whole thing: a multi-page website with your home page, about page, contact page, sales pages, and opt-in funnels, all designed to work together. This is for established business owners who want their entire online presence handled, done right, once.
A standalone funnel: $1,500 to $2,000 USD. A lead magnet funnel (opt-in page, thank you page, delivery) sits at the lower end. A sales funnel runs higher because sales pages are simply more involved builds: more sections, more persuasion architecture, more design decisions.
The Launch Lab: $4,000 USD. This is my version of a VIP day. I spend one entire day, eight hours, working exclusively on your project. It's built for smaller scopes: a simple website (home, about, contact), an opt-in funnel at most, or a punch list of smaller tasks you just want done and off your plate. Bigger projects don't fit in a day, and I'll tell you if yours doesn't. Full details are on my Launch Lab page.
One-hour strategy session: $250 CAD (about $200 USD). This is for hashing out what your business and your site actually need before you build anything. I've done extensive online business coaching training, so this isn't just "what pages do you want," it's what your ideal client needs, what your free funnel should look like, and what offers you should be creating. More on why this might be your real first step below.
Everything else: proposal-based. Smaller changes and custom scopes get priced after a free design discovery call, because quoting work I haven't seen would be guessing.
What the Rest of the Market Charges
You can absolutely find cheaper. I'll be honest with you: price and talent are not the same thing. There are genuinely skilled people at every price point.
Here's what actually matters when you're comparing the budget tier to a professional build:
You can't tell who's who from a listing. The budget marketplaces mix genuinely capable builders in with self-taught tech operators who can assemble a page but have no real design training, and the listings look identical. At $500, finding out which one you hired is part of what you're paying for. And design is not decoration: if your site ends up cluttered and confusing, a confused eye says no, and people click away. First impressions decide whether visitors stay long enough to buy.
Logistics can stretch timelines. Working across large time differences can mean every question becomes a next-day answer. Not a dealbreaker, but worth factoring in if your launch has a date on it.
Scope of skills is the real difference. This is the big one. At the budget tier, you're typically paying for one skill: operating Kajabi. At the professional tier, you're paying for a stack of three: design sense, technical execution, and online business knowledge. When someone opts in to your funnel, what happens next? What does the nurture sequence need to say? What should the upsell be? A designer who understands those nuances builds things into your site and funnels that you didn't even know you needed. One who doesn't leaves gaps you'll discover after launch.
The honest math: paying more once is cheaper than paying budget prices two or three times because the first build didn't do the job. I've onboarded enough rescue projects to say that with a straight face.
What Moves the Price Up or Down
Within any designer's pricing, including mine, a few things drive the number:
- Page count. More pages, more design, more cost. Obvious but true.
- Strategy involvement. Am I purely executing your direction, or am I helping you make the decisions? "Build these five pages exactly as briefed" is one price. "Help me figure out what my funnel should even be, then build it" is another, because you're getting my online marketing brain, not just my design hands.
- Custom code. Animated elements, scrolling logo bars, and other touches beyond Kajabi's builder (like the ones in my Kajabi landing page examples) take development time.
- Copywriting. If you want me to supply AI-assisted copy rather than providing your own, that's added scope.
- Rush timelines. If you need it fast, I have to put other clients' projects on hold to make that happen. Speed costs, with every professional, in every industry.
Why I Don't Charge By the Hour
Here's the part of pricing most people have never had explained to them.
I don't price projects based on how long they take me. I price based on the value of what's being created for your business. A sales page designed to grab attention and drive revenue is worth more than a simple opt-in page, even if the opt-in page matters too (your email list is what really sells for you long-term).
And here's the uncomfortable truth about hourly rates: after 25+ years of design experience, I can do in one hour what takes a beginner a week. If I charged hourly, my experience would literally make my work cheaper. That's backwards. You're not paying for my time. You're paying for the decades it took to make that hour count.
The Real "Cheap Website" Story Nobody Tells
Nine times out of ten, when a frustrated Kajabi owner lands on my calendar, nobody burned them. They did it themselves. They bootstrapped, pieced the site together bit by bit, did the best they could, and ended up with something cluttered that's quietly turning clients away. The impression their site gives is unpolished and unprofessional, when the actual work they do for their clients is excellent.
And let me be clear: there is no shame in that. Sometimes bootstrapping is exactly where you have to start, and doing it yourself until you can afford help is a legitimate strategy. But there's a moment when it flips, and it's usually this realization: my site is not at the level of the service I provide. Their strong suit is their clients. Mine is making their site look as professional as the work they actually do.
If that paragraph felt personal, that's who this pricing is for.
When You Should NOT Hire Me Yet
Honest answer, because it makes everything above more believable: don't hire me for design if you're not clear on your business.
If you don't know exactly what you offer, who your ideal client is, or what type of person you want to attract, a designer can't fix that, and there's no sense in me building something beautiful for the wrong person. Design amplifies clarity. It can't create it.
If that's where you are, the right move isn't a $8,000+ website. It's the $250 strategy session, where we hash out who you serve, how you serve them, what your free funnel should look like, and what courses and offers you should be building. Then, when we design, we're designing for the right person. That order of operations will save you thousands.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a Kajabi website cost if I build it myself?
Your only hard cost is the Kajabi subscription plus your time. If you're at that stage, no judgment, it's where many of my clients started. One tip: don't sign up at full price. My referral link gets you 3 months of Kajabi for $99, a deal you won't find anywhere else, which gives you three months to build before regular billing starts.
Is it cheaper to hire a Kajabi designer on Fiverr?
Upfront, yes. In practice, budget builds frequently become rebuild projects, and paying twice is not cheaper. If your budget genuinely only allows the low tier right now, it may be smarter to DIY with a good template and save for a professional build than to spend real money on a budget one.
Why do Kajabi designers charge so much when the platform does the hosting and tech?
Because the platform was never the expensive part. You're paying for design judgment, conversion strategy, and online business knowledge: what your funnel needs after the opt-in, what your sales page needs to say and show, what makes a visitor trust you in the first three seconds. Kajabi is the toolbox. You're hiring the builder.
What does a discovery call cost?
Nothing. My design discovery call is free, 30 minutes, and it's where every proposal-based project starts. You'll leave with clarity on what your site needs whether we work together or not.
The Bottom Line
A professional Kajabi website from me starts at $8,000 USD, funnels run $1,500 to $2,000, a Launch Lab day is $4,000, and a strategy session is $250 CAD. Budget alternatives exist and sometimes fail you slowly, DIY is a legitimate starting point that most people eventually outgrow, and the most expensive website is the one you have to build twice.
If your Kajabi site isn't at the level of the work you do, book a free design discovery call and we'll figure out exactly what it needs, together, before you spend a dollar.
Not on Kajabi yet? Grab 3 months of Kajabi for $99 with my unique referral link. You won't find this offer anywhere else.
